I'm in the market for new headphones (for using voice chat). Need to switch over to a wired set. Whats a really great brand/model to go with?? I dont really give a crap bout price as long as they sound great and dont hurt after wearing them for along amount of time.

I have the same problem with headphones after wearing them for a long time. They hurt my ears after about an hour of wearing them. I have to use earbuds.

If you can tolerate ear buds, I use Razer Morays. I'm using them to talk to ya'll on Mumble. They come with three sizes of buds that you can swap out, in case your ear is bigger or smaller than normal. They are pretty much airtight, too. I can't hear the wife talking if I have both of them in.

I got my Trittons from gamestop. Trittons and Turtle Beaches are some of the best on the market. Skrill is right also, they tend to make your ears sore after about an hour. but the sound quality is amazing and TOR sounds amazing out of them.

I have Turtle Beach Earforce px21's that I got at BestBuy. I can adjust the game sound separate from voice chat. I think the longest I've worn them is 6 hours and I haven't felt like my head was in a vice yet!

If you're in the market for ear phones, I'd look for a flexible bridge between the ear pieces (not just height adjustments) and lots of squishy foam on the ear pieces.

Yeah Lurker...sick of them dieing on me tbh. 

I hadnt really thought about earbuds. Thats a great  idea.
