Our rank structure is clearly defined and simple in nature. We have no need for excessive or unnecessary ranks.
Vae Victis has open recruitment, meaning anyone who is part of the in-game guild, even other Recruits, can invite new members to the in-game guild. The Recruit rank exists to allow interested parties to participate with Vae Victis and see if our community is a good fit for them. Recruits are welcome to stay as Recruits for as long as they like, there is no requirement to apply for full Membership.
Members are those who have submitted an application on the forum to join Vae Victis. The primary incentives to becoming a full Member is the community itself and the services we provide including the private forum, VoIP, event calendar, and knowledge base articles.
Inveteracy is earned one of two ways. The first way is to join Vae Victis before Dec 20th, 2011 (release date of SW:ToR). The second way is to have been a Member for longer than 1/4th the guild's existence (Nov 1st, 2011). Veteran rank simply means a Member has been with Vae Victis for a lengthy period. Veterans are likely to be very experienced with the game, and with the Vae Victis community.
The Elder rank is reserved exclusively for retired Officers, those who once held the rank of Officer, Senior Officer, or Leader but for whatever reason had to step down from that position. Elders are advisors, and their input is highly valued when Leaders and Officers seek to make decisions.
Officer rank requires regular activity, meaning that they may be asked to step down if they require an extended leave of absence. Some of an Officer's responsibilities include:
Senior Officer rank requires regular activity, meaning that they may be asked to step down if they require an extended leave of absence. A Senior Officer assumes the same responsibilities as an Officer, as well as:
Vae Victis has a threefold leadership team, which means at any given time there will always be three members of the Leader rank. Leaders are selected from Members of the Officer or Senior Officer ranks, and are Members who exemplify the Charter and uphold it's principals. Leader rank requires regular activity, meaning that they may be asked to step down if they require an extended leave of absence. A Leader assumes the same responsibilities as an Officer and Senior Officer, as well as:
